Culpeper Virginia Food
As the cool weather sets in, Culpeper's Historic Downtown is gearing up for the holiday season, with themed street fairs that will please everyone on your gift list.
Residents and visitors can spend the day visiting the Culpeper History Museum to learn more about the past. It is October, which means there are many hikes, excursions and tastings to keep you on your toes. If you love nature, you will find all aspects of nature around the parks, lakes and family-friendly farms. Many farms in the area are open all year round - all year round to choose your own or just stroll around.
You can learn about the 15 historic neighborhoods that once made up the city of Culpeper and explore the surrounding area. You can branch off and walk through the battlefield of the Kelly Ford Civil War, where Grant had his headquarters, Lee camped, Jackson fought and Stuart hibernated. With breathtaking views of the Shenandoah Valley, you can gaze up at the sky as autumn leaves set in and explore the beautiful views from the historic neighborhood and surrounding area.
You can also sit back, relax and enjoy the free movies offered at the Packard Campus Theatre in the Library of Congress Audio - Visual Conservatory.
Virginia Craft Beer Month closes the summer in September, when Culpeper hosts the annual Libations Street Fair, which features different cuisines each year. The local farmers market is bringing spring to life, and the third Thursday concert series begins at 7 p.m. at the Packard Campus Theatre in the Audio-Visual Conservatory Library. Throughout the year, art is offered alive with local art courses and workshops, as well as a variety of arts and crafts activities for children and adults. Cul Peper also offers a second week of restaurant in October, with fresh farm-to-table inspired dishes to keep you warm.
The farm movement - at dinner - is alive in Culpeper, and thrives on centuries-old agricultural heritage, where chefs prepare food that comes directly from the farm. The staff is always on the lookout for the freshest, and the autumn farmers market is the perfect weekend to explore the agricultural history and heritage of Cul Peper. The festival kicks off with a street festival in February, followed by a week in March.
Every Wednesday the whole congregation is invited to a great meal. At a time when many catering departments are using the entire school budget for financial support, these canteens remain budget neutral. Food supplies will continue to contribute to the school budget through a combination of community donations, food donations and generous support from local businesses.
Families and small groups can register to bring a meal or cook in the Lukas kitchen. Meals are served at 5: 30 a.m. and cost $5 for the entire community and $3 for a small group of four or five people.
If you would like more information about the program and would like to receive a registration form, please call 825-8212 or volunteer on the Flame Cafe registration form.
